I am a Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Clinical Social Work Supervision can be defined as the process by which a "supervisee" gains the knowledge and access to tools needed (through mentoring, coaching, education, and management techniques) to obtain the opportunity to succeed as a social worker in the community at large and in keeping with the Texas State requirements needed to obtain an active, current, and legal LCSW Texas state Social Worker License.
Individual and Group Supervision:
I offer both Individual Supervision and Group Supervision. It is hoped that regular supervision will serve as a catalyst in the development of one’s own practice approach as they grow in their competence and practice approaches and style.
I personally utilize: Psychodynamic (Drive Theory, Object- Relations Theory, Self Psychology, & Ego Pschology), Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches, Prolonged Expoure, Dialecgtical Behavioral, Solution Focused, Transtheoretical Model, Recovery Model and Systems Theory in my utilization of the supervision process and I value each person’s developing style as they grow during the supervisory process.
Questions and General Information for LMSWs:
Rules Relating to the Licensing and Regulation of Social Workers are available on the board’s website at https://vo.licensing.hpc.texas.gov/datamart/login.do
A packet must be downloaded and completed at the beginning of the social work supervisory process and at the end and it is critical and must be completed in full each time for this supervision to count towards the time supervise.
I look forward to working with you,
Anthony R. Morris, LCSW, C.P.P., C.G.P., A.C.T.
